Hardware - Motor Schematic and Battery
Today I was drawing the schematic for motor driver using ULN2003A. Each motor uses 2 units of ULN2003A thus the circuit is bigger and more components are used. I’m thinking of reducing the circuit size because my robomouse has a very limited space.

I tried to search for another alternative and finally I found ULN2803A with 8 inputs and 8 outputs. Similar to ULN2003A, ULN2803A is a Darlington Transistor Arrays with 500 mA output current but has 8 inputs and 8 outputs. Thus, 1 unit of ULN2803A is sufficient for each motor. I try to simulate the motor with ULN2803A using Proteus and it works.

In the evening, I went to Jalan Pasar to buy connectors for sensor and motor and purchase a battery for Robomouse. Unfortunately, no connectors match the sensor and motor, and for the motor I have to completely change the whole connector set and maybe I have to change the sequence of wire. I found the battery but without charger. The battery is 7.2V and 1000 mAh. I guess it’s enough for the robot. If the robot consumes 1A so the battery can last for 1 hour.
